Joy in the Little Things
By: Daniellia Fariesya
It began with ribbons, paper bags and juice boxes a modest plan to provide treats for the children. But while our hands were occupied with tying bows and packing smiles, our voices filled the space with songs, laughter and random nonsense that made everything feel a little lighter. We weren’t just prepping gifts. We were making memories, in tape and scissors.
It doesn’t always take an audience to entertain. And sometimes it will be a troubled floor, communal snacks and conversations that teeter between the silly and the heart-on-sleeve. And in that hushed carnage, we stumbled upon something beautiful joy raw, real, unfiltered joy.
