“Is the Lilo & Stitch (2025) Remake Worth Watching? Our Honest Review”

 By Danial Haris

Lilo & Stitch (2025) is a live-action remake of Disney’s beloved 2002 animated classic. I was excited to watch it out of nostalgia and curiosity, eager to see how they would bring Stitch’s wild, funny character to life.

The story follows Lilo, a lonely girl in Hawaii, who adopts a strange “dog” that turns out to be an alien fugitive named Stitch. Together, they discover the true meaning of family, belonging, and healing from loss.

Overall, I found the movie fun and emotional. Maia Kealoha gave a standout performance as Lilo, while Sydney Agudong brought heart to the role of Nani. Zach Galifianakis was a fun addition as Jumba, and the CGI version of Stitch looked great—faithful to the original, yet fresh.

I especially enjoyed the heartwarming family moments and lively Hawaiian music, which helped maintain the charm of the original. However, the pacing felt rushed in places, and some character changes slightly weakened the emotional punch.

In the end, Lilo & Stitch (2025) is a charming and enjoyable remake. I’d recommend it to both longtime fans and new viewers. While not perfect, it’s worth watching. I’d rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
