Travelling Alone, To Feel Alive Again
By: Daniellia Fariesya
I didn’t plan this trip for the photos. I wasn’t looking for the perfect sunset or the best tourist spots. I left because I needed to breathe. I needed to be somewhere else far from everything that was too loud, too fast, too heavy.
Travelling alone felt scary at first. Just me, my thoughts, and the road. But somewhere along the way, the silence started to feel safe. I found entertainment not in big events, but in small things eating slowly without being watched, listening to music that understood me, and laughing quietly at how peaceful I felt just sitting by myself.
This wasn’t a vacation. It was a restart button. A quiet decision to choose myself, to heal on my own terms, and to remember that I don’t need anyone else to make moments meaningful. Sometimes, solitude is the only place loud enough for your heart to be heard.
