Freiren: Beyond Journey End

 BY Danial Haris Hisham

This fall 2023 anime, Freiren: Beyond Journey’s End (Sousou no Freiren) that made by Studio Madhouse, same studio made like Death Note. It has 28-episode total and aired from Sept 2023 to March 2024.

Synopsis follows Freiren, an elf mage who outlives her human friends after defeat Demon King. Years later, she regrets not understanding them better. She sets a journey to learn humans, emotions.

Story begins after Freiren is an elf who lives for thousands of years, human lives feel very short to her. The story explores how she deals with loneliness and regrets. Grief and Acceptance comes where after her old friends pass away; she honours their memories. Although powerful, Freiren starts emotionally distant. Her journey is about slowly learning to connect others and understand feelings. This anime also leave legacy and memories shows how the smallest moments and relationships can leave lasting impacts, even after people are gone. Story Progression goes when Freiren and her party beat Demon King and say goodbye and promises to visit in 50 years. In addition, about Himmel death, she comes back in her human friend age and Himmel dies. Freiren regrets not knowing him better. Freiren travels again to learn more about humans and emotions. Suddenly, Fern (a young male) joins her and later, Stark joins too. In Magic Exam Arc, Freiren takes a tough magic exam to continue her journey. Goal is she wants to reach a place where she can meet Himmel’s soul one last time.

When it comes to Character Development, at first Freiren is cold and distant because she’s an elf who lives for thousand of years, so human’s lives feel too short to her. When her old friend Himmel dies, she regrets not getting closer to him. She goes on a new journey with Fern and Stark and learns to care about people. Over time, Freiren becomes more emotional, smiles more, and values her friendships.

About its animation and art style quality, it very high quality, even for regular scenes not just the action parts during fights. Furthermore, Detailed expressions on character small emotional changes are shown carefully. Meanwhile on art style, Soft and detailed background lots of beautiful landscapes and Magic effects look elegant and mystical, not flashy. Overall, look like a high budget movie every episode and perfectly matches calm, emotional tone of story.

Freiren anime voice acting staying on tune with sound of anime, voice acting is also superb, with actors ironically busy a lot to life to often-monotone voice of characters. Also, monotone style speaking creates lot humours situations, as do few moments when character break out into explosions and expression, mostly seen with Stark.

Immediately, about pace and engagement I think storyline is easy to understand because its not to fast and not that boring. Furthermore, storyline easy to understand. So many battles take place in single panels, yet anime adapts fully fledged and meaningful flights.

Other than that, with a moment as sample as Freiren jumping out of bed being unbelievably detailed and Fern’s birthday and Apple Pie scene, who has been so serious and reserved, smiles brightly when Freiren takes her. Again, such small but heartfelt gesture shows growing bad.

In my honest opinion, this adaptation is so good it even removed some of my criticisms of manga it felt like some story line overstayed their welcome, yet their flawless nature this adaptation made seem flew so well together.

In conclusion, if anime keeps up this level quality, could among best anime all time. Not only that, it even argues this first season one best of all all in Freiren anime and now gold standard of anime adaptations, for me.

Everything Everywhere All At Once

By:  Daniellia Fariesya

A film in its wildest sense Everything Everywhere All At Once is truly creative and emotional, just like multiverse madness tries to capture the chaos of life in modern times. The very first glance offered us a sci-fi adventure with bizarre humor, kung fu, talking raccoons, and parallel universes. Of course, at the core of all this absurdity is a very human story about identity, pressure, and the anxiety inducing weight of trying to be everything at once. Subbing in for her overworked character, laundromat owner Evelyn Wang is pulled into a battle across infinite realities. Yet what truly matters is the fight that rages within her own broken family.

The narrative of the film concerns itself with generational traumas, especially those faced by immigrant families how these traumas are passed on silently because of misunderstandings and unmet expectations. Joy, daughter of Evelyn, turns into a representation of that turmoil the swirling void of meaninglessness is in essence that haunting "everything bagel" on which she floats. However, medicine is found to soften this darkness in Waymond, the considerate husband of Evelyn, and a gentleman indeed, who becomes a quiet hero of the story through reminding us all that kindness and compassion are radical acts in a world filled with loudness, trying to possess, and with despair.

In the end, Everything Everywhere All At Once isn't about saving the universe it's about choosing to stay present in it. Through all its visual spectacle and emotional spirals, the film lands on a simple truth: even if life doesn’t make sense, love, empathy, and human connection can give it meaning. It’s a messy, beautiful reminder that being enough doesn’t mean doing everything  sometimes, it just means being there, choosing kindness, and holding on to the ones we love.

MU vs ASEAN All Stars:Unexpected Outcome

 BY Haziq Asyraf

In a surprising upset, the ASEAN All-Stars defeated English football powerhouse Manchester United 1-0 on May 28 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil in the Maybank Challenge Cup. An enthusiastic 72,550 spectators watched the game, which was full of high-energy attempts from both teams. The All-Stars fired a number of dangerous shots early on, especially from Sandro Reyes of the Philippines and Nguyen Hai Long of Vietnam, but United's goalie Andre Onana played excellent defence.

Early in the match, Manchester United, led by head coach Ruben Amorim, switched up their lineup, adding young players like Jaydan Kamason, Shea Lacey, Daniel Armer, and Sekou Kone. With two powerful attempts, including one that was cleared off the line, Kobbie Mainoo spearheaded United's attack. United remained frustrated by the outstanding play of All-Stars' custodian Patiwat Khammai, who stopped multiple close-range attempts, even after adding important players like Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho in the second half.

Maung Maung Lwin, the captain of Myanmar, scored past United substitute keeper Thomas Heaton in the 70th minute to give the All-Stars a well-earned lead and the game's pivotal moment. The All-Stars successfully held United at bay until the final whistle by concentrating on a solid defensive approach from that point on. In addition to being a rare setback for Manchester United during their post-season tour—which continues next in Hong Kong—this unexpected outcome made the evening unforgettable for ASEAN football fans.

TIKTOK HELPS PEOPLE SHARE LIFE STORIES ANF FEEL UNDERSTOOD

 BY Adam Azrai

TikTok is not only for fun videos or dances. It is also a place where people can share their real life stories. Many users talk about their school life, work, family, health, or personal struggles. Some people share happy stories, and others talk about sad or difficult moments. These videos help others feel they are not alone.

When someone watches a story that is similar to their own life, they feel connected. TikTok helps people see that others go through the same things  and this can give hope and comfort. It becomes a space where people can be honest and kind to each other.

Some people use TikTok to talk about mental health, like anxiety, stress, or depression. Others show how they deal with problems, and how they grow stronger. There are also users who help others understand topics like disabilities, self-love, or healing.

What makes TikTok special is that you don’t need long words or big videos. A short video, with a simple message, can touch many hearts. Even just 15 or 30 seconds of speaking honestly can make someone smile or feel better.

TikTok shows us that every story is important, and every person’s voice matters. Whether big or small, your story can help someone, somewhere in the world.

Song Review-Seasons,Wave to Earth

 By: Haziq Asyraf

Seasons to Earth by Wave to Earth is a moving indie-rock ballad that embodies the feeling of loving someone from afar. The soothing tune and emotive lyrics talk about self-doubt, silent affection, and giving up on the person you love because you believe that you are not enough. The line “I can’t be your love, ‘cause I’m afraid I’ll ruin your life” shows how the person in the song feels unworthy of love. Even though they deeply care, they stay silent choosing to love from a distance rather than risk hurting the one they admire.

The chorus, "If I could be by your side, I'll give you all of my life, my seasons," is such a powerful statement of how love can still be offered even though it is not being returned. It's giving it all your time, your prayer, your heart without expecting reciprocation. The title Seasons illustrates how love evolves with time. As seasons can change, grow, or decay, so too can feelings, yet some love stays deep within us no matter.

In my view,This song reminds me of the one I loved in secret. I never told her how I felt because I didn't think I was worthy enough. Like the song, I just hoped the best for her even from a distance. When I hear Seasons, the memories come back and it makes me believe that sometimes loving someone from a distance is still loving them

If you haven’t been streaming *Espresso* on repeat yet, now is your chance to do so. The catchy new track by Sabrina Carpenter was dropped in April 2024 and immediately became a pop hit, full of confidence, light fun, and addictive energy.

Sabrina first teased *Espresso* in January 2024, just before appearing at Coachella. The track, released by Island Records, is on streaming platforms and was even pressed on vinyl and cassette (yep, that’s still a thing!). What is it about? *Espresso* is all about giving a big nod to self-confidence, femininity, and power. Sabrina herself said it's about the feeling of embracing being “that b***h.” Stylistically, *Espresso* is the tantalizing concoction of pop, funk, disco, and synth. The happy guitar riffs and high-energy tempo are the trademark of producer Oliver, taken from his sample pack “Power Tools Sample Pack III.” The production sounds exciting yet retro, with a soft flavor of 80s and Italo-disco, while being utterly fun, cool, and dance-worthy.

Sabrina gave her vocals with the utmost cheeky charm and supreme control. Without really belting it out like other female vocalists, she chose not to. Her witty, poised style complemented the song's vibe perfectly, and the layered vocals in the chorus just make the song stick inside your head all day long. The process under production was carried out by Julian Bonnetta, who also worked with One Direction. As far as production goes, it is crisp, upbeat, and radio-friendly. It is already great when you grant it loud in your car or with your earbuds on; it is such and such a balanced treat for every pair of speakers.

From a Safe House to a Stopover in Friendship

        By: Daniellia Fariesya

There are times when people feel at home for us and that very special friend enters into our lives, coming in with the promise that they will stay there for a long time-even forever, maybe. But sometimes, the people we give our best to, end up treating us like just a temporary singer-plying-shelter: "Rumah Singgah." And when they go away, there remains emptiness, a lot of questions, and a faint heartbreak that lingers.

More Than Just a Love Song, Fabio Asher's "Rumah Singgah" is often considered a love   ballad-a song of someone being a resting place and only stopping by whenever it is just convenient. But the fact is that the lyrics go deeper than romance. They speak to anyone who has ever given all of their love for someone, including in friendship. Because betrayal does not only come from lovers. It comes from your closest friends as well. "Yang terjadi kini Ku hanya rumah persinggahanmu,Di saat kau terluka,Dan di saat semuanya reda,Kau menghilang begitu saja”

A louder betrayal is not necessarily the most painful. There are some that are the most painful and yet there is no screaming, no blatant lies. Sometimes all it is a quiet. It is that sudden distance. It is disappearance. It is watching them move on as if you never mattered."

You ask yourself, "Was I just a convenience?" The answer you that hate so much is right there. No, you were not their home. You were their stopover. Their rumah singgah. Hoping for Forever, But Left with Nothing What hurts the most is the hope. You hoped this friendship would last.

How TikTok Helps Build Confidence in Everyday People

By:Adam Azrai

For many people, especially those who are shy or not used to being in front of a camera, posting their first TikTok video can feel very scary. They might feel nervous about their appearance, their voice, or whether anyone will like what they post. Some may even fear being judged or laughed at. But what makes TikTok special is how supportive the community can be. After posting a few videos and receiving kind comments, encouraging words, likes, or shares  many users start to feel more confident and comfortable expressing themselves.

TikTok is a space where you don’t have to be perfect. You don’t need to have fancy equipment, expensive clothes, or professional skills. What matters most is being real, creative, and authentic. Whether someone is dancing in their living room, sharing life stories, showing a special talent, or even just making people smile  TikTok gives them a chance to be seen and appreciated.

This platform has helped millions of people, from students to parents to the elderly, discover their inner confidence. Some users start with zero followers and end up building a strong community who love their content. Others use TikTok as a safe space to try new things, like speaking in public, showing their artwork, or talking about their feelings.

Through this process, TikTok helps people become braver, more creative, and proud of who they are. It’s not just about going viral  it’s about learning to believe in yourself. It’s about growing, expressing your ideas, and connecting with people from all over the world who enjoy the same things you do.

In the end, TikTok reminds us that every voice matters, no matter your background, your looks, or your experience. Everyone has something valuable to share  and sometimes, all it takes is one short video to start feeling confident in your own skin.

When Music Understands Your Pain

 By: Daniellia Fariesya

The hardest feelings are sometimes the ones we cannot flesh out  the ones that are carried in silence, between sighs, during the moments when one is all alone with their thoughts. Those are the instances that galau songs find us. They are no less than lifelines injected into our emotions. They say all those things we've always wished to say. They express the pain in our hearts that we weren't quite conscious of; that is until a melody wandered into our life.

When it hits the heartbreak: walking away into oblivion, or saying goodbye for no reason, music will take the hit. Lyrics like "You broke me first" or "Aku yang salah, melepasmu bukan pilihan" somehow gain a paranormal aura of intimacy, as if they were written about your story alone. You pause the song. You replay it. Somehow, the second time it hits even harder.

That's when galau songs come alive. Their enchantment lies not just in the melancholy piano riffs and the sluggish rhythms. That enchantment lies in their truth. The honesty. The raw emotion. It is a brand of truth that tells stories of heartbreak, confusion, yearning, and regret which most of us silently carry. It says to us: "You're not the only one shedding tears at 2 a.m., wondering what went wrong."

In the modern-day world that has a constant urge telling us to "move on," "be strong," and "get over it," galau songs give us permission to just feel. To sit with the pain. To not rush through healing. And that itself is comforting knowing that somebody, somewhere felt the same way and gave it a form.

So next time when your heart is heavy and there are no words for the agony, let a song

seribu tahun lagi review

 By: Haziq Asyraf

The release of Imran Ajmain's most recent single, "Seribu Tahun Lagi," has brought him widespread notice once more. This song offers a more sophisticated and grounded view of love, loyalty, and optimism, and it is a contemporary continuation of his legendary 2006 smash song "Seribu Tahun." In contrast to the original, which depicted unending love and selflessness, "Seribu Tahun Lagi" explores the notion that genuine love occasionally entails having the courage to let go.

The entire song was written and arranged by Amylea Azizan and was written especially for the drama "Seribu Tahun," which is presently showing on Astro Ria. At first, Imran was requested to rerecord the song, but he refused, arguing that the original was already finished. He decided to create a new composition instead, one that captures more profound and mature feelings while also reacting emotionally to the original.

On February 7, 2025, the song was formally published. On February 28, a lyric/visualizer video was launched. The song's emotional tone is excellently matched by the visual presentation, which depicts Imran in a sombre, red-lit setting that conveys tiredness, anxiety, and sadness. Additionally, the images complement the single's cover art, guaranteeing coherence in the overall concept.

Within a short time, the song garnered over half a million streams on YouTube and Spotify, proving that Imran still has a strong presence in the local music scene. Its popularity also surged on TikTok, where users featured the song in their videos and many young musicians uploaded their own cover versions. According to Believe Music, this viral success highlights how social media can amplify a song’s reach and Imran Ajmain has smartly used this to introduce his work to a younger generation.
